The Potting Sampler Set is for the gardener who already has a collection of favorite pots and would like the easiest solution to filling them.  The set comes with 12 seeded mats precut to fit 6, 8, and 12 inch containers.  There are four of each size.  A gentle pallet of yellow, purple, and rose has been selected for this sampler set.  As always, a little extra care will insure you have maximum results from your Instant Flower Garden® product.

Varieties - Dahlia (Dahlia variabilis), Ageratum (Ageratum mexicanum), Petunia (Petunia hybrida), and Johnny Jump Up (Viola tricolor).

General Installation and Watering - Fill each container with potting soil to within 1" of the top.  Place one of the seeded mats over the soil and water liberally so that water seeps through the bottom.  If necessary, cut the mat with ordinary scissors to fit the surface.  See Garden Basics for detailed information about Soil Preparation for Containers, How to Store Unused Mats for Next Season, and other helpful tips.

Special Considerations - It is not necessary for the mat to completely cover the soil.

Where to Plant - Full to partial sun.

What I Can Expect - The Instant Flower Garden® Potting Sampler Set plants will germinate in 1 to 3 weeks depending upon conditions and soil temperature.  Patience is necessary in this phase.  Cool evenings and overcast days can delay germination.  Then, after the second set of leaves unfold, some thinning may be necessary to avoid crowding and allow for stronger mature plants.  Expect the Potting Sampler Set flowers to grow to a height of 4 to 18 inches and continue their display throughtout the season.
