The Blooming Border Roll is one of the longest Instant Flower Garden® products currently available unrolling to a full 20 feet. It is a sun-loving mix of colorful dwarf varieties ideal for use along a sidewalk, patio or driveway.  Its lower growing habit also works well in combination with taller selections such as Heavenly Butterfly Garden, English Cutting Garden, or to provide continuous color at the front of an existing perennial border.  As always, a little extra care will insure you have maximum results from your Instant Flower Garden® product.

Varieties - Dwarf Calendula (Calendula officinalis), Dwarf Blue Cornflower (Centaurea cyanus), Dwarf Red Plains Coreopsis(Coreopsis tinctoria), French Maricold Dwarf (Tagetes patula), and Sweet Alyssum (Lobularia maritima).

General Installation & Watering - Simply roll out the seeded mat on prepared loosened soil and water liberally.  See Garden Basics for more detailed instructions, soil preparation essentials, and other helpful tips.

Special Considertions - Instant Flower Garden® seeded mats and rolls may be cut to fit any shape you desire.  For example, cut in half to have a Blooming Border Roll on each side of a walkway that is 10 feet long.

Where to Plant - Full sun.

What I Can Expect - The Instant Flower Garden® Blooming Border Roll plants will germinate in 1 to 3 weeks depending upon conditions and soil temperature.  Patience is necessary in this phase.  Cool evenings and overcast days can delay germination.  Then, after the second set of leaves unfold, some thinning may be necessary to avoid crowding and allow for stronger mature plants.  Expect the Blooming Border Roll flowers to grow to a height of 8 to 12 inches and continue blooming throughout the season.
