The specially commissioned Boy and Goose Planter is fashioned after a certain famous German porcelain maker. The adorable 17" all-weather planter comes with two 5" square seeded mats for two seasons of enjoyment. The sweetly delicate flowers selected for this collection complete the picture to showcase in your summer garden. As always, a little extra care will insure you have maximum results from your Instant Flower Garden® product.
Varieties - Alyssum (Lobularia maritima), Baby Blue Eyes (Nemophia menziesii), and Johhy Jump Up (Viola cornuta).
General Installation and Watering - Fill the container with potting soil to within 1/2" of the top. Place one of the seeded mats over the soil and water liberally being careful not to over saturate. If necessary, cut the mat with ordinary scissors to fit the surface. Special Considerations - Using scissors, cut the corners off one of the seeded mat squares so that it will fit nicely into the container on top of the loosened soil. Use the remaining corner pieces in another container or place them directly in an existing garden.
Where to Plant - Full to partial sun.
What I Can Expect - The Instant Flower Garden® Boy and Goose Planter plants will germinate in 1 to 2 weeks depending upon conditions and soil temperature. Patience is necessary in this phase. Cool evenings and overcast days can delay germination. In addition, soil in container gardens may warm a bit more slowly than in-ground conditions. After the second set of leaves unfold, some thinning may be necessary to avoid crowding and allow for stronger mature plants. Expect the Boy and Goose Planter flowers to grow to a height of 2 to 12 inches and continue blooming throughout the season.
