The specially commissioned My Little Girl Gardener is fashioned after a certain famous German porcelain maker. Like its companion peice, Boy and Goose Planter, it is a 17" all-weather planter and comes with two 5" square seeded mats for two seasons of enjoyment. The flower selection is well-suited to the old-world charm of this planter and will be a sensation on your deck or patio. As always, a little extra care will insure you have maximum results from your Instant Flower Garden® product.
Varieties - Alyssum (Lobularia maritima), Sweet William (Dianthus barbatus), and Zinnia (Zinnia elegans).
General Installation and Watering - Fill the container with potting soil to within 1/2" of the top. Place one of the seeded mats over the soil and water liberally being careful not to over saturate. If necessary, cut the mat with ordinary scissors to fit the surface. Special Considerations - Use one seeded mat for this year and store the other for next season. My Little Girl Gardener is equally at home sitting in a garden, atop a table, or on the patio.
Where to Plant - Full sun.
What I Can Expect - The Instant Flower Garden® My Little Girl Gardener plants will germinate in 1 to 3 weeks depending upon conditions and soil temperature. Patience is necessary in this phase. Cool evenings and overcast days can delay germination. In addition, soil in container gardens may warm a bit more slowly than in-ground conditions. After the second set of leaves unfold, some thinning may be necessary to avoid crowding and allow for stronger mature plants. Expect the My Little Girl Gardener flowers to grow to a height of 2 to 24 inches and continue blooming throughout the season.
